Come Reconnect at Fall Market
If you haven’t heard, Fall Market will take place at High Point this year, from October 13 – 21. To help ensure attendees’ safety, High Point Authority has extended Market from five to nine days, which it has divided into three attendance days in order to spread out crowd flow and allow for proper social distancing. Since exhibitor staff will be limited, attendance groups are further allocated by region to help ensure that buyers and designers will be able to meet with representatives from their areas.
This is good news for designers, not only because we will have an opportunity to see the latest products at a time when business is starting to pick up, but also because we will have a chance to reconnect after such a long period of separation and isolation. So much has happened in the past six months in our lives and our businesses. We need to engage with our peers to share our experiences, renew old friendships, celebrate our achievements, and recalibrate our outlook in anticipation of better times to come.
It goes without saying that safety is of primary importance. High Point Market Authority has put together a number of videos and tools to help you plan your trip confidently and efficiently. To further minimize health risk, most educational and informational sessions will be presented virtually. Events are included in your registration, but enrollment is required to hold your space, as attendance is limited. For more information and to register, go to the High Point Market website.
I will be presenting sessions on “Bottom Line Basics” (Sunday, October 18, 11 am. to 12 p.m. Eastern) and “Working with a Coach” (Monday, October 19, 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern), as well as participating in the Alliance Leadership Day (Friday, October 16, 10 a.m. to 6;15 p.m. Eastern). I hope you will join me for what should prove to be some stimulating conversations.
