Most interior designers got into the interior design business because they love creating beauty, and they love working with clients to get the acknowledgement at the end of the project that they are amazingly creative. Those tears at the final walk-through are like Nirvana for most of us. It’s what happens between that first call from the prospect and that final walk-through that keep many designers up at night. I can think of many big “pit-in-the-stomach” moments. I’ve experienced the monkey brain that can’t shut off with many competing thoughts… the anxiety about the next day and the next fire that seems bigger than I can handle…
Just thinking about these moments makes me relive them… but then I remember that I solved those problems eventually.
